Working in conjunction with other River Thames organisations, the Thames Heritage Trust uses funds raised from individual donations and legacies to help and encourage different initiatives involving the Thames, its islands and backwaters.

To raise awareness and encourage active involvement along the River Thames.
Schoolchildren of all abilities invited to create metre-square tapestries reflecting how the River has shaped and now influences their communities.

The aim of this award is to encourage and recognise Volunteer Youth Activities for the under 25s, which significantly benefit the River Thames community and environment, stimulating use and interest in the River.
